Artist Statement:

My work focuses on the intense emotions below the surface related to being a woman in a capitalist society. The feminine urge to create while simultanteously wanting to tear it down. The space in between wombs and decay, fertility and death, sexual power and sexual abuse, abortion and giving birth. The sentimentality and femininity of lace, the violence of carving away or stabbing with needles to reveal something delicate and fragile.
